Blue Lady 2020 is gaining momentum

A new era is starting at Johann Seubert GmbH & Co. KG with the MAN TGX

A very special moment: managing director Heribert Seubert was the first customer to receive the new MAN TGX 18.580 at the MAN Truck Forum – his Blue Lady 2020.

“The start of a new era” is on the semitrailer of the new MAN TGX 18.580 – and that applies to both sides: Heribert Seubert was the first customer ever to get the new MAN TGX at the MAN Truck Forum in Munich. The managing director of Johann Seubert GmbH & Co. KG is a long-standing MAN customer “with a love of beautiful trucks”. It’s no wonder, then, that the Blue Lady 2020, as he names it, has been upgraded and decorated appropriately strikingly. The new MAN semitrailer tractor has a D38 engine with 580 hp, a GX cab, Alcoa Dura Bright aluminium rims, four corner air suspension, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Return Assistant LRA, stationary air conditioning, airbag, EfficientCruise, lane change support LCS and turning assistant.

Family-run traditional company and long-term MAN customer

The company Seubert – from Hetzles in the metropolitan region of Nuremberg – has been involved in earthworks and haulage for more than 50 years. Their fleet consists of 25 vehicles – the majority of which are MAN vehicles.

“Previously, the customer only had Mercedes vehicles for more than 40 years and was supplied with its first MAN vehicle a good 20 years ago,” reveals salesman Alexander Korn.

In earthworks, the services on offer from Johann Seubert GmbH & Co. KG ranges from moving earth and demolition works to building materials recycling and transporting bulk solids. In haulage, roughly ten semitrailer tractors with refrigerated and box semitrailers are in use. The company mainly transports fruit, vegetables and other foodstuffs. The sale of fruit and vegetables was the cornerstone for the foundation of the family company in 1955.

Yesterday was also a very special moment for Heribert Seubert personally: His first truck – the Blue Lady 1 – was also his wedding car at the start of the ‘90s and is still superbly well cared for today in his hall. Roughly three decades later and, just in time for the managing director’s 57th birthday, the Blue Lady 2020 is a special birthday present for himself, he says.

“The Blue Lady has the number plate FO-JS 1. By tradition, the Blue Lady 2020 now has FO-JS 2,” says Michael Wodke, head of truck sales in Nuremberg. We hope you ‘get home safely’ and look forward to the next joint anniversary.”
