Germany’s best vocational trainee is presented with his MAN TGX Individual Lion S

Patrick Jost from Spedition Bode was very proud to receive his reward for completing his vocational training as the highest-scoring trainee: An MAN TGX Individual Lion S. How has he been feeling since then? Perfectly happy!

100 out of 100 points. That is the dream result that 22-year-old Patrick Jost achieved when he completed his vocational training to become a professional driver. We told you all about the likeable driver from Reinfeld, who is employed by Spedition Bode, in our truck life story. For his bosses Kai and Marc-Philipp Bode, it was clear that this dream result had to be marked with an appropriate reward. A fancy new truck from MAN, Patrick’s favourite brand, seemed to be the perfect choice. “We are really very proud that in Patrick we have an absolutely exceptional trainee in our team and that we have managed to pull off this big surprise with the MAN TGX Individual Lion S,” says a delighted Kai Bode.

An alpha lion for Paddy

Patrick himself can hardly believe his luck when he comes face to face with the super truck with its carbon visual effects on the bumpers and mirrors as well as a variety of red accents.

“I now have everything I was aiming for: I work for an excellent company, have completed a terrific vocational training programme there and now I have a vehicle permanently assigned to me – the last step towards my goal. It’s all become a reality.”

The classy radiator design with its black paint and chrome trims highlighted in red, roof bar with LED lamps, stainless steel front and side bars, black wheel trims and the exclusive MAN Individual sunblind make for an eyecatching, powerful exterior. Inside the vehicle, a red decorative seam on the multifunctional leather steering wheel emphasises the sporty character of the MAN TGX Individual Lion S. The seat covers made of genuine Alcantara leather feature red diamond stitching, with the armrests and door inserts made to match. The headrests feature an appliqué of a red lion. And the icing on the cake: Patrick’s nickname “Paddy” also adorns the noble alpha lion.

Trucker’s World is also on board

MAN Truck & Bus Deutschland also wanted to recognise the achievement of the young professional driver in an appropriate manner and so gifted Patrick a five-year membership to the MAN drivers’ club Trucker’s World to go with his new MAN truck.

“There is a serious shortage of professional drivers in our industry at present. As such, we are all the more pleased when promising young talents like Patrick come along and ensure that we will continue to have well-trained professional drivers on our roads in the future,” says Christoph Huber, Chairman of the Executive Board at MAN Truck & Bus Deutschland.

We are, of course, delighted to welcome Paddy as a new member of the club and perhaps he will be in touch with us soon from one of his tours in his new MAN TGX Lion S. As far as destinations are concerned, Denmark is at the top of his list – he has already told us that much.
