The first to be registered in all of Spain
The first MAN TGX Individual Lion S to be registered in Spain is already in service on the roads of Cantabria, for both domestic and international transport. Javier García Serrano, a self-employed driver, mostly transports dangerous goods for the business Transportes Bárcena S.L. Javier has worked in the transportation industry for almost 20 years. “My father, Nandi, worked in this industry too. He was the one who began the partnership with MAN. Thanks to the support always shown to us both by Julio García Gómez, who established the MAN dealership in Cantabria, and by the current management, and owing to how wonderfully Carli has treated us, especially in difficult times, we have absolutely nothing to complain about”, he says, adding that “the workshop operations are extraordinary, too”.
Both Javier and his brother have a passion for extravagant and attractively customised trucks. They regularly take part in festivals and rallies, not only in Spain, but in France too. “We’re both mad about these events, and we’ve even won some awards – for example in Nogaro in France for my previous MAN truck. I was very sad when I had to part from that truck. I hope the new MAN will be as good as the last one”.

Some of its features in particular appealed to him: the mirror caps with MAN lion design and the striking front grille and wheel trims, along with customised modifications, including a black upper and lower bar, additional sidebars below the panelling (also in black), some horns, rotatable headlights, and various other small details.
“The vehicle will cover about 140,000 km between Spain and the South of France every year, and turn heads wherever it goes. Our main season is summer, because that’s when we carry the most goods. And it will be a pleasure to transport it all on board this MAN vehicle, from a brand that has proven how reliable it is over the years”, says Javier García Serrano with pride.
