Welcome to the Casa del Toro

Genthner Transporte goes wild for its new arrival

What do the children’s film “Ferdinand” and Genthner Transporte have in common? Both of them have put their faith in a prominent protagonist, namely the young bull Ferdinand.

The film went down so well with Genthner driver Stefan Zehnter (Stoffel) that he asked himself: Why are trucks always covered in the same types of decals? Together with his colleague, who was also very taken by the idea, the family man asked a foiling specialist if his new MAN TGX could be emblazoned with the leading character from the film, and if so, in what way. No sooner said than done.

The MAN TGX – a rolling Casa del Toro

The result is impressive. Ferdinand the Bull adorns the driver’s side of the red MAN TGX 18.640, and “Casa del Toro” is written on the windscreen. This translates to “Home of the Bull” in English. It’s not just children’s eyes that light up when the vehicle drives by. The MAN is fitted with stainless steel windscreen grilles, a sunblind and Alcoa aluminium rims. Professional driver Stefan installed the interior lighting and fitted the leather single-handedly. The team at the Pforzheim service outlet fitted the Light-Fix package (lamp bracket, roof liner, cap liner, bull bars, side liner) and the desired wiring.

“It all comes together beautifully: the colour scheme, the prominence of the attachments, it’s just turned out wonderfully well.”

It didn’t take long to convince bosses Holger and Ralf Genthner of the plans either. The two brothers founded their company in Bahnbrücken/Kraichtal in 1986. At the time, they acquired a 40-tonne semitrailer combination from their father, which they used exclusively for long-haul transport in Spain and Portugal. Before long, the company premises became too small and the site was relocated to neighbouring Kleinvillars near Bretten in 1988. Other business areas, namely parcel services and general cargo transport, were added to the company’s range of services. Due to further expansion, the company soon outgrew this site as well: In 2002, the company built its new premises in Flehingen/Oberderdingen. The company’s current field of activity includes scheduled and express deliveries, long-haul goods transport and goods warehousing. The brothers put their trust primarily in MAN vehicles to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
