MAN superhero to the rescue
Freedom, freeways, variety and fun are the things that Kai Tillmann likes most about his job as a professional driver. When he is on the road for the “ABS” breakdown, recovery and towing service, he and his MAN TGX 33.580 are making an important contribution to road safety.
“I love and live for my job because I’ve known it every since I can remember,” Kai Tilmann claims with enthusiasm – he pours his life and soul into his family’s towing business. His father has managed the company since 2002, and Kai has been on board as well since 2012. He has been working as a breakdown mechanic ever since. His tasks include towing and recovering broken down vehicles 24 hours a day, around the clock. “From bikes to passenger cars, trucks and buses – in theory, we recover everything,” claims Kai. They have even recovered trams and placed them back on the rails.
Whether day or night, the breakdown team always need to be available, quickly, for their customers and their broken down vehicles. What sounds just like a modern superhero coming to the rescue looks exactly as you’d imagine. Kai’s MAN TGX tow truck drives up featuring a special design: A superhero motif with dancing flames really catches the eye on the side of the signal yellow vehicle. Assuming that first impressions are what count, the customers waiting for Kai at the side of the road must have been visibly relieved when they saw him arrive with this super truck featuring MAN’s lion logo. But it’s not only customers and passers-by who are astonished when they see Kai’s MAN, he himself is, of course, the truck’s biggest fan. The main problem when asked what he likes most about his favourite lion is where to start!
“The engine? A pure powerhouse. The gearbox? On this vehicle in the new MAN Truck generation, an absolute dream!”
And he continues to rave about it: “The visual appearance? Insane!” And Kai also thinks the music system, combined with the bass, is unrivalled. There’s no need to ask Kai what his dream vehicle is. And, in fact, he sums up his thoughts here: “I don’t need to pick one – I’ve got my MAN TGX 33.580!”
