Marvin and his MAN mixer

Not much happens on the construction site without these two

Marvin Meyer and his lion-emblazoned mixer are in the thick of things on the construction sites for which he and his MAN TGS 32.460 regularly deliver the concrete on behalf of the company Birkenbach Transporte from Dipperz bei Fulda, Germany – including all the challenges that come with the job.

Like many other professional drivers, Marvin grew up with driving and an associated fascination with trucks: “I really got to know the profession through my father, because he drives trucks himself and his father was a bus driver.” So the fact that he also decided to undertake training in 2011, completing it in 2014, was probably a little thanks to family tradition. And the fact that Marvin was looking for a versatile job, which he is convinced he has found with the driving profession. Even though he takes to the road every day with his MAN TGS 32.460 truck mixer, none of his assignments are the same. Every construction site is different and it is not uncommon for the arrival and departure to be difficult: “Often you have to manoeuvre in a tight space,” Marvin explains. And the weather, which doesn’t always play ball, likes to provide a challenge or two as well.

The young driver takes all this calmly and professionally: After all, he and his MAN TGS are a well-rehearsed team.

“Since I already drove the MAN at my vocational training company, I’m familiar with its advantages in the general cargo sector and in long-distance transport too. The vehicle is powerful and easy to handle,”

he says, pleased with the reliability and operational strength of his truck bearing the MAN lion. The 27-year-old would also give two thumbs up for the vehicle and service quality. “Quality is a priority at MAN and service is top of the list,” he says. Marvin doesn’t have any special wishes for the future, except for things to stay the way they are: He hopes that MAN will continue to provide good service and reliable vehicles.
