A brief picture review

MANTRUCKSTOP

Looking back on the IAA Transportation 2022

Visitors to the MAN booth at the IAA Transportation in Hanover got to take a closer look at new products as well as tried-and-tested greats. For the members of Trucker’s World by MAN, of course, a break in the popular Trucker Bar was also a must. Here is our review in pictures.

More electric, more climate-friendly, more efficient, more safe, more driver-oriented, more comfortable, more digital and more connected – MAN did not want to settle for less at the IAA Transportation and presented a trade fair appearance to match.
First and foremost with the presentation of something completely new, the MAN eTruck, which premiered on the stage in Hanover and will soon be the first fully electric MAN to be used in long-distance transport. Equally future-oriented are the tailored digital solutions from MAN DigitalServices, which are not only intended for modern fleet management, but also offer a variety of possibilities for drivers.

The new MAN TGX 18.640 4×2 BLS and the MAN TGS 41.520 8×4 BB CH both in the coveted MAN Individual Lion S design, also appeared for the first time in Hanover.

The MAN TGE also made an appearance in the Individual Lion S design, with another special feature especially for motorsport fans: quite a few visitors were interested in driving the MAN van with a Ducati on board away from the exhibition booth.

The MAN Merchandising Shop on the exhibition floor was also a major attraction for visitors of all ages: in addition to clothing and models, accessories were also available here for the first time, as was, exclusively for members of course, the Trucker’s World by MAN collection.

It was lovely to see so many members accept our invitation to the IAA and redeem their trade fair ticket. There were many great prizes to be drawn from the tombola for those feeling lucky.

‘It’s really great here and so nice to see everyone again. I am spending two days here to take a close look at everything. And thanks again for the free tickets.’

Trucker’s World by MAN member Andreas

Of course, some celebrity visitors also made an appearance: it was the first ever visit to the IAA Transportation for Julia Beitler, known from the TV series ‘Trucker Babes’. She signed autographs and surprised some visitors: Annelie from Wohlstedt, for example, was delighted to get her T-shirt signed: ‘I can’t believe it, I’m actually standing next to Trucker Babe Julia Beitler!’

And she was not the only TV star getting visitors excited: on Saturday, Marco Barkanowitz from the series ‘King of Trucks’ mingled with the truckers, signed autographs and chatted to drivers. As it happens, he will be adding the MAN TGE Individual Lion S to his fleet after the trade fair.

As is tradition, the Trucker Bar was the place that experts, Trucker’s World by MAN members, freight forwarders and drivers from all over the world came together to discuss in comfort everything they had seen and experienced at the trade fair. Many also used their visit to make a contribution to drivers in need – the Fahrer helfen Fahren e.V. donation truck was carrying an impressive load of over 250 euros after the trade fair.

It’s a shame that it’s all over. Fortunately, we still have many beautiful pictures from the days spent in Hanover, which we are happy to share with you here.

In addition to the pictures in the gallery, you can also pay a belated visit to the IAA Transportation in the new episode of MAN QuickStop.
