Overjoyed with the new vehicle

Mike Steigerwald finally drives his dream MAN

Anticipation can be so beautiful. In the case of Mike Steigerwald and his new MAN TGX 41.640 8×4, however, the joy when the MAN ‘Lion’ finally arrived was even greater than the anticipation.

Mike Steigerwald will not soon forget 14th February 2023. It was the big day when he climbed into his MAN TGX 41.640 8×4 from the latest series for the first time. To match the modern tractor, there was also a new 3+7 semi low-loader from Noteboom. So Mike was able to start the year with a completely new combination.

“There was great anticipation for the first tour,” he reports, “and the vehicle convinced me from the very first minute.” This has still not changed after the first few weeks and various transport orders. Finally, Mike had ample opportunity to get to know and test his MAN TGX.

He is particularly satisfied with the cab of his MAN TGX, where everything is very clear and therefore tidy. And the user-friendliness also really suits the professional driver, who works in the heavy-duty transport sector for Hüffermann Krandienst GmbH.

“The truck is very different and nicer to drive than the previous one I had.”

Mike is pleased to say, “and even in the weight class it’s in, it uses a lot less diesel fuel. All in all, a really nice truck.” And that’s why Mike never misses an opportunity to stage and photograph his ‘Lion’ on all kinds of assignments. An opportunity that other truck lovers also took advantage of when they met Mike’s imposing ‘Lion’ at the Rüssel Truck Show in Kassel. “I got to talk to a lot of people and the vehicle was very positively received,” says the 33-year-old driver happily.

He himself is confident that he has many kilometres still to come with his MAN TGX. And he has a clear plan to ensure it won’t be forgotten even once its term has ended. “I will have the tractor immortalised on my skin this year,” Mike announces. His love of MAN goes far beyond driving.
