Horsepower in the colour pink
The semitrailer tractor in pink and black is Christina Scheib’s trademark. The well-known truck driver recently took ownership of a brand-new MAN TGX 18.520 4×2 BLS. It is the second truck that Christina has bought herself – and not rented. Now the great freedom on her own wheels begins for her.
The lion, MAN logo, radiator, rims, lamp bar: the pink accents on the black vehicle make a stunning visual impact. “I am tremendously proud and extremely satisfied,” says Christina upon receiving the truck at the MAN Truck Forum in Munich. She has named her new semitrailer tractor Leonella – the little lion princess. The truck was built by MAN Individual and styled by HS Schoch. It is simply a magnificent truck. “The new MAN TGX is even easier and more pleasant to drive than the predecessor model,” says the driver.
Christina is also starting a new professional chapter with her new vehicle: the 39-year-old is once again her own boss. However, she will continue to be active as a female ambassador for freight transport – nothing will change there. She says:
“I want to encourage women to become truck drivers.”
She campaigns for better working conditions and more respect for all her colleagues. “It doesn’t help to complain all the time.” Christina prefers to enjoy the good things about her job. Nice people, great countryside, great sunsets and, of course, her Leonella.
